Maurice Tugby
President
Morrie serves our club as co/director for membership and Rotary Foundation. He has served as president of Mountlake Terrace Rotary (now Alderwood-Terrac Rotary), Rotary District secretary, district audit and finance chairman and several other club and district positions. He is a Paul Harris Fellow.
Morrie graduated from WSU with a degree in accounting, a commission as a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served 2 years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He was in private accounting (real estate, cost accounting, trust accounting, and other accounting work) for 18 years. He passed the CPA examination and has been in public accounting work for 30 years and was a major stockholder in a Seattle CPA firm until 1992 when he sold his stock. He was immediately hired by the accounting firm of Greenwood, Ohlund & Co. LLP - CPA’s where he continues to serve many clients preparing financial statements, tax returns, assisted businesses with their accounting systems, and tax planning.
He enjoys traveling with his wife Dee, photography, swimming, and hiking. He has been active in the King and Snohomish county as a leader in BSA and in his church.
He will be president 2009/2010.
